6th Annual Freeze for a Cause – proceeds benefitting The Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation.
Saturday February 28, 2015 | Registration at 9AM

Freeze for a Cause generates funds through surfer registrations, sponsorships and an after party. Competitions will begin at 10 a.m. at North Carolina Avenue beach in front of Resorts. Divisions are offered for: Junior Men’s – 18 years and younger; Men’s – 19-35 years old; Grand Master’s – 36 years and older; Women’s, Longboard and Stand-Up Paddleboard. There is mandatory check-in for surfers from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Registration for the first division is $30 online and $40 the day of the event. Additional divisions are $15 each. Contestants will receive an event T-shirt with their entry, after party tickets and prizes.

After a frosty day on the beach, surfers and spectators are invited to refuel with a fun-filled after party at Margaritaville beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets, which are $25 per person, can be purchased at the door. Attendees will enjoy live music by The Danbees, a group called “The coolest young rock band” by VNDL magazine.
