Free John Starks meet and greet, 2nd Annual $50,000 Half-Court Shot, exclusive contests and more
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (February 22, 2024) – Resorts Casino Hotel invites guests to celebrate college basketball’s most thrilling time of the year with exclusive March Mania events across the property. In March, guests will have an opportunity to compete in basketball challenges, win Slot Cash from the March Mania Kiosk game and attend a free, public meet and greet with New York basketball legend, John Starks. Additionally, all Star Card members will be able to test their luck during the 2nd Annual $50,000 Half-Court Shot.
On Saturday, March 23rd from 5:00pm – 6:30pm, guests can head over to the DraftKings Sportsbook at Resorts to meet and greet former professional basketball player John Starks and watch the second round of college basketball tournament games. During his outstanding eight year career with the New York Knicks, Starks was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1992-1993, became an NBA All-Star in 1994, and was awarded the League’s Sixth Man of the Year in 1996-1997. He averaged 14.1 points per game, while leading the Knicks in three-point field goals (982). In addition, he remains 11th in total points (8,489), 8th in assists (2,394), and 7th in steals (711) in Knicks history. To this day, he remains a fan favorite in the New York area. Starks is currently involved in the day-to-day efforts focused on expanding the Knicks Alumni Relations, Community Relations and Fan Development Programs.
DraftKings Sportsbook at Resorts is the place to be to catch and bet on all the college basketball action. Guests won’t miss a beat while watching the games on an ultra-high-definition 15-foot video wall. Additionally, guests can partake in $3 domestic drafts and mouthwatering menu options including, but not limited to, Draft “King” Wings, Philly Cheesesteak Spring Rolls, a Southwest Crispy Chicken Salad and a BBQ Brisket Sandwich.

All Star Card members can try their luck at an exclusive half-court shot. Anyone who successfully makes a half-court basketball shot on the boardwalk will receive $500 in Slot Cash and an entry for the Grand Prize $50,000 Half-Court Shot. At 4:30pm, one entry will be chosen for the $50,000 Grand Prize Half-Court Shot. Entrants must be present at the time of the drawing and the grand prize winner will have 10 minutes to claim their prize.

Guests can compete in an arcade-style basketball game where round winners will receive a T-shirt!
