State-of-the-Art Sports Betting
Atlantic City, NJ (August 15, 2018) – This summer marked a major breakthrough for New Jersey casino gaming as the goal for legalized sports betting became a reality on June 11. Today, Resorts Casino Hotel, the first casino hotel in New Jersey, celebrates a new milestone by opening its sports book on-property.
“As the birthplace of casino gaming in New Jersey, Resorts Casino Hotel is thrilled our state has authorized legal sports betting as this marks a great advancement for the gaming industry,” said Mark Giannantonio, President and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel. “The opening of our new sports book will set a precedent for sports betting in Atlantic City, offering an elevated gaming experience for our loyal guests. We are proud to introduce the accessibility of an on-property sports book, further strengthening Resorts as the place to experience New Jersey’s best-in-class gaming.”
Now open to the public, the Resorts Casino Hotel Sports Book invites guests to place bets on sporting events around the world. The state-of-the-art sports book is home to six betting windows with an interactive lounge area, which offers comfortable seating for those looking to enjoy the game and see their bet come to life first-hand across a 15-foot video wall. Of course, sports book customers can also watch the game in the comfort of one of Resorts’ award-winning bars and restaurants. Additionally, The Resorts staff in the sports book is highly trained and knowledgeable about sports betting and are able to walk first-timers through the sports betting process. This sports book will act as a temporary sports betting location, with a larger, permanent sports book opening in the near future.
Additionally, Resorts Casino Hotel is at the forefront of the online sports betting scene in New Jersey with its latest partnerships between DraftKings and The Stars Group, and will roll out a third online sports betting option on ResortsCasino.com by fall 2018 through an alliance with SBTech. The addition of sports betting to ResortsCasino.com will fulfill Resorts’ third and final online skin, making it the only casino in Atlantic City with online and on-property sports betting.
Leading the New Jersey gaming industry since 1978 as the first casino-hotel outside Nevada, Resorts Casino Hotel has also partnered with DraftKings to launch the first-ever online sports betting platform in New Jersey. DraftKings Sportsbook is now fully available to the public, providing sports betting and gaming to anyone, at any time. DraftKings Sportsbook was designed and built with the U.S. sports fan in mind, offering multiple methods to bet, including live, in-game betting for major and niche domestic and international sports. Additionally, Resorts has partnered with The Stars Group to add another mobile and online sports betting site to The Stars Group’s internationally recognized online gaming portfolio. These first-of-their-kind partnerships allow Resorts Casino Hotel to further its position as a superior gaming operator in New Jersey.
