Guests of Atlantic City will have a chance to see and hear for themselves what made Disco so special as Resorts Casino Hotel presents Disco Inferno. The weekly tribute features an accomplished cast of singers, dancers and musicians, eye-catching costumes, and stunning choreography from the Disco era. “Disco Inferno is a highly entertaining theatrical presentation that ignites images and remembrances of a dance floor musical era gone by, when the music, lyrics, and driving beats electrified a generation,” said producer Allen Valentine. Featuring the music of The Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, Gloria Gaynor, KC and the Sunshine Band, Anita Ward, ABBA, Barry White, plus many more, Disco Inferno will transport those who witnessed it back to the moment when they first heard these songs on the dance floor of their popular discotheques. Disco Inferno is produced by Allen Valentine. Jillian Reed choreographed the show and Linda Voermans is the production manager. The musical director is Arland Gilliam. He has been a member of the acclaimed Everyone Orchestra alongside Robert Randolph, Steve Kimock and members of Ween, moe., The Roots, The Revivalists, and more. Award-winning queer writer and comedian Michelle Tomko is set to hit the stage in the Screening Room for a hilarious one-woman show dedicated to the personalities of Atlantic City called Yo Eleven: One Woman Many Voices: A Celebration of Atlantic City. Yo Eleven is a scripted performance that contains improvisation and quotes from hours of interviews with numerous members of the Atlantic City community – a famous singer, a person in recovery, a Stockton student, a yogi, and a pillar of the community who was raised in Atlantic City when the North and South sides of town were racially divided, just to name a few. Michelle elected to entitle the show “Yo Eleven” after the craps term, as a bettor announces “yo eleven” at the table to ensure they don’t confuse their wager on eleven with a similarly sounding bet on the seven.
