ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 24, 2023) – Former first overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 1987 NFL Draft and 1986 Heisman Trophy winner, Vinny Testaverde, will be making an appearance at DraftKings Sportsbook at Resorts on Saturday, August 19th from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. guests will have the opportunity to meet and greet the former NFL field general, prior to kickoff of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets preseason game at 7:30pm.
Guests are invited to take photos with Testaverde and bring items they would like autographed.

Vinny Testaverde was a star quarterback in the NFL for 21 years with the Buccaneers, Ravens, Jets, Cowboys, Patriots and Panthers. He was drafted first overall by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 1987 NFL Draft. After leaving as a free agent, he signed with the Cleveland Browns and was among the personnel transferred to the newly created Baltimore Ravens. He then joined the New York Jets, where he achieved his greatest success. In the last four seasons of his career, he played for the Dallas Cowboys, the Jets for a second time, New England Patriots, and Carolina Panthers for one year each.
Testaverde attended the University of Miami, where he played for the Hurricanes. He had an impressive career there, winning the Heisman Trophy in 1986.
Despite not being selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Testaverde retired with more career passing yards and passing touchdowns than other enshrined Hall of Fame quarterbacks, such as Joe Namath, Roger Staubach, Dan Fouts, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jim Kelly, Troy Aikman and Kurt Warner.
Testaverde’s professional career was principally characterized by its longevity, lasting 21 seasons, playing for seven different teams. When he retired, he was in the top 10 in career passing statistics (6th in career passing yardage, 7th in career touchdown passes, 6th in career completions).
Vinny Testaverde currently lives outside Tampa, with his wife, Mitzi, and is an avid golfer. He also has two sons and a daughter.
