ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 28, 2022) – The newly remodeled pool and pool deck at Resorts Casino Hotel officially welcomed back guests on Tuesday, July 26 with a ribbon cutting celebration and a group cannon ball! The $4+ million renovation includes a brand-new 45,000-gallon pool with a state-of-the-art retractable roof that allows the area to be used year-round! Also included in the reno is a 12-seat full-service bar and an upgraded fitness center. The pool will allow for year-round swimming and the indoor/outdoor pool deck will be available year-round for one-of-a-kind events, like cocktail parties and wedding receptions! The focal point of the project is the new 248 glass panel retractable roofing system that was built over the pool, making Resorts the only property in the Atlantic City area to have such a structure. The 20’ tall enclosure provides a beautiful sun lit space and an energy efficient 365-day summertime feel. The enclosure has an air conditioning and heating system, and the roof opens and closes with the touch of a button.
The brand-new pool is 50’ long x 26’ wide with a 5’9” deep end and 2’9” shallow end with an accessible seat. The water is salt treated with a high-tech filtration system that keeps it crystal clear and spa-like without harsh chemicals. Also, an ultra-modern UV system was installed as a second level of protection against germs in the water and it also reduces the level of chloramines which can overwhelm indoor pools.
The pool is located on the 3rd floor of the Ocean Tower and offers sweeping views of the beach, boardwalk and ocean. Over 100 new loungers were added in the pool enclosure and out on the sun deck. The floors were redone with over 2,000 Italian hand laid tiles. The bar has a cabana-like feel and offers all your favorite cocktails. The pool is open daily to hotel guests. Summer hours are 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with adult only swim beginning at 2:00 p.m.
