The Village People, also known as the “Kings of Disco,” are the first stop on Saturday, August 27th at 8PM. Next on the list is Billy Ocean, who brings his talents to Resorts on Saturday, September 10th at 8 PM. Finally, on Saturday, September 24th at 8PM, The Hit Men perform classic pop hits from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s!

Come out to Resorts, located on the world famous Atlantic City beach and check out Billy Ocean! The London native has sold 30 million records, some of which have gone gold and platinum. Paying close attention from a young age to soul singers like Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, his inspiration wasn’t hard to find. After signing with GTO Records, Ocean released his second single, “Love Really Hurts Without You,” which played its way to No. 12 in the US and No.2 in the UK. After a small break in performing and songwriting to spend some much deserved time with his family, Ocean began touring again in 2007 while his daughter, Cherie, joined him and sung back vocals. 2008 ended his 15-year absence from the recording studio where he worked on his album, “Because I Love You,” and later released it in 2009. “The Very Best of Billy Ocean,” was released in 2010, selling 72,000 copies in four weeks. The Hit Men, a group of performers who have individually worked with many different artists such as Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Elton John, Sting and Paul McCartney perform at Resorts Superstar Theater and share the memories they’ve made over the years. While the crowd listens to the sounds of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s performed by the group, incredible visual footage is also displayed, retelling the experiences The Hit Men have encountered through their endeavors. Consisting of Lee Shapiro, Jimmy Ryan, Larry Gates, Russ Velazquez and Steve Murphy, each group member has either sang, played, or has done both while working with some of the famous artists listed above.
