Resorts Casino Hotel will present the nine-time Grammy Award winning KC & The Sunshine Band in the Superstar Theater on Saturday, August 21, 2010.

 

Harry Wayne Casey, also known as KC, has an arsenal of musical hits under his belt. An American Music Award, sales of more than 100 million records, and nine Grammy Awards later, you can find KC & The Sunshine Band still holding a spot as one of the movers and shakers of the business today.

 

Dating back to 1973, KC formed KC & The Sunshine Band not knowing the success that they would soon encounter. Hits like “Get Down Tonight” and “That’s the Way (I Like it)” were featured on the self titled album, KC & The Sunshine Band, which went triple platinum in 1975. In 1977, they released an album entitled, Part 3, which also achieved triple platinum status. The Part 3 album featured hits such as “I’m Your Boogie Man,” “Shake Your Booty,” and “Keep It Comin’ Love.” “Boogie Shoes,” the “B” side to “Shake Your Booty” also reached number one.
