AL JARREAU
Al Jarreau is one of the rare artists to have won Grammies in three categories; jazz, pop and R&B. He has been described as “the voice of versatility” by the Chicago Tribune and “one of the world’s greatest natural resources” by the Detroit News.
In 2001, Al Jarreau received his own star on the “Hollywood Walk of Fame” and toured the US, Europe and South Africa. In 2004, Accentuate the Positive was nominated for a Grammy.
October, 2006, Givin’ It Up, a duet album with George Benson also featured the likes of Herbie Hancock, Sir Paul McCartney, Jill Scott, Chris Botti and Patti Austin. It received 3 Grammy nominations and two awards; “Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group” (nomination only), and two Grammy’s for “Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance” and “Best Pop Instrumental.”
